The best lowriders of all time were cars that could handle a lower suspension and still clear the railroad tracks. American has had a longtime fascination with lowriders. Although Cadillac hasn't produced this style from the factory, there have been some amazing mods made by coachbuilders and do-it-yourself enthusiasts. A few bags of cement or sandbags in the trunk was the solution for those who couldn't afford a custom chassis lowering. We've dug through the archives to find the 10 best Cadillac lowriders of all time for your enjoyment.

Augustin Alvarez dreamed of owning a lowrider since he was 11 years old. When he became an adult, he discovered a 185 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, bought it, and brought it home to be his project car. He brought help on board to fully customize beginning with a reinforced heavy frame and copious amounts of fabrication work on the rusted out old car that he bought. This customized Caddy lowrider was featured in a special edition of Low Rider.

Motor Trend highlighted another long and low Caddy that is eye-catching and one for the record books. Rogelio Zermeno turned an older Cadillac DeVille into a sharp-looking low rider. This model lends itself well to the lowrider design. He drove for four hours to pick up a rust-free 1977 Cadillac DeVille in the middle of winter. The motor was blown in the vehicle, but Rogelio was able to rebuild the engine with help from the Reyes Brothers from Milwaukee. Reyes Customs completed work on the engine and made some significant updates to the old car. They reinforced the frame and completed the suspension work to make this Caddy hop. They settled on gator and leather upholstery for the interior other high-quality materials

Drivn shares Juan Hernandez' Cadillac lowrider story. The owner purchased a 1994 Cadillac Fleetwood in 2013. The vehicle was in poor condition with damage to the body, in need of a paint job, no air conditioner, leaks, and other issues. It was a fixer-upper, but this didn't discourage him. he put the car in several shops to start fixing the issues, replacing the AC, installing the hydraulics in the suspension, and performing other work that was needed. The interior was completely redone with the installation of LEDs, reinforcement of the frame and axle. once he started customizing it was a process that continued until the car was showroom quality. The 1994 CAddy Fleetwood is one of the most attractive lowriders we've seen.

ShopOK advertised one of the most beautiful Caddilac lowriders ever. This customized version shows how well the 1993 Fleetwood responds to the lowrider conversion process. This example received Black paint on the body and the dashboard with a custom EG Grill in Black and Chrome and Black painted dish rims with chrome spokes

Car From UK  is a classified listing site for automobiles that turned up a 1979 Cadillac LE Cabriolet Convertible that was converted into a lowrider. This is a rare find as there have not been many Cabriolet convertibles converted into lowriders. The car was converted by Hess & Eisenhart originally. The owner applied a candy paint job with 5 coats and an additional 4 coats of clear coat on top to rete a high gloss. This lowrider is fully equipped with hydraulic so it's more than just a pretty car to admire. It's capable of doing the lowrider dance. It goes to show you what you can do with a 1979 Caddy LE Cabriolet.

Another Car From UK ad Shows what can happen when you start work on a 1965 Cadillac Deville Convertible. This old classic looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. The lowrider was converted from a two-door convertible DeVille. The suspension was customized with hydraulics installed for full lowrider functionality. The outside is painted red and the white interior pops with the top down.

Wallpaper Flare advertised one of the most beautiful old Caddy lowriders on their site. The classic lowrider is picture perfect and suitable for framing. There's something uniquely breathtaking about a sixties Cadillac with shiny black paint that has the gloss of patent leather with copious amounts of shiny chrome trim.

We found this Lowrider Cadillac on Offer Up, an advertising site for classic cars. This beauty was listed for sale by the owner. We couldn't believe that it went for $8,000 or the best offer. The car featured a partial wrap on the frame with eight batteries straight across, front, back, and side to side on switches, an updated sound system, and it was in excellent running condition. Not much else appeared about the conversion details, but the result was enough for us to see.

Lowrider.com highlighted the lowrider owned by Claudio Molina of Miami, Florida. Since his early teen years, he's been in love with the lowrider lifestyle. He found an old 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood that needed a bit of work. He started his work on the car, doing a little at a time, and eventually took it to Harold at Chico's Hydraulics to complete the conversion process. It has a candy teal green colored finish. The interior received a buckskin accent treatment.

This 1962 Cadillac Lowrider is a custom car that transformed into a cruiser. We saw it on Top Classic Cars for Sale. The vehicle was lowered but not bagged. The owner didn't intend to make it a show car, but it's lovely enough to make a presentation. It would be fun to see this rat rod cruiser with a few coats of candied paint and a few hydraulics because it has the form and function to be one of the most beautiful classic lowriders on the planet.
